Car related because Volvo-Royce XC Ghost Allroad.

OPPO members (mostly OG cats and those that have been around the block) are indeed a smart and logical bunch. I’m very much a fan of a spooky tale involving the paranormal but am always cemented to logic and what truly was the reason behind them. To me ghost can’t possibly exist. It’s impossible.

Most things duh always begins with, “I was asleep” or anything else that could be immediately debunked with dreaming. The lack of this make my experience yesterday a bit harder to debunk.

Kinja'd!!!

The time was around noon and my wife and I were around the dinning room table located around 10 feet from the stove area. The dogs were outside running around like forever and always. I was facing the stove but not looking directly at it. I was looking at my wife and in my peripheral vision I saw the handle of a pan lift up about 6 inches then slam down and wobbled for a bit.

Kinja'd!!!

WTF!!! We stared at each other for a while then walked over. Like the picture above (taken late at night for reference purposes), there is absolutely nothing anywhere around the pan to cause it just hop up like that. The stove nor the oven had been used all day or even the day before. The pan stayed perfectly in the center since I used it to heat up some homemade flour tortillas on Firday. We were in a hurry to leave so we just left it as is.

We got home from some last minute grocery shopping around 11pm. My wife was in the living room and I was around the dinning room table sorting out the things and getting some water form the water cooler on the opposite wall to the stove when all of a sudden BANG!!!!

Kinja'd!!!

No flippin way dudes, the same pan was now on the ground like a Camry and spinning!!!! WTF!!!!!! My wife came over and was asking what the noise was and was equally stunned. It was very quiet in the house and if the pan were to slide off for some reason, I would of heard the loud scratching noises from the texture bottom running along the heating coils and edge of the metal stove. Nope, just a loud BANG!! The 4 chihuahuas and the extra large doberman were with my wife in the living room.

TL:DR A freaking pan bounce up and down on the stove and then later jumped completely off onto the floor by itself without anything around it yesterday.

Hmm... sounds like an Aztec spirit kick starting negotiations on using your first born child as a vessel. From what I remember placing a tomato on two stacked chairs on a rainy day means no and hanging 4 shirts dipped in sugar out from the second closest window to your front door means yes.

Bruh you know what you gotta do. Head to a botanica and get some candles, burn some sage, water with camphor by the door etc. all the typical Hispanic house cleansing stuff.

My friend has had a few run ins with a ghost in his house. Last year him and my other friend were in his room and saw a little kid in a blue shirt run past the door, there were no kids in his house at all and they both looked at each other like “who’s kid is that?!” and when they looked it was gone.

Last month while laying in bed one night with his girl his ceiling fan light turned on, which could only be done by pulling the string. Freaking creepy stuff, he didn’t even want to talk about it it was his girl who told me.

If I may pry a bit (and please feel free to say no, but consider what your answer would be ):

What were you and your wife talking about when these instances occurred?

I am not attuned to the spiritual, at all. My wife gets “vibes” about things, and she’s usually dead on. Me? I’m about as intuitive as a brick wall when it comes to anything spiritual.

But I have experienced something similar, and it happened at a very stressful time, when my wife and I were yelling at each other once. It remains completely without reason or explanation that this thing happened, and I still can’t figure it out.

The only thing I can muster is that someone was trying to break up our fight.

I don’t have an answer for you, but if it helps, I definitely believe you.

Electric stove + metal pan = electromagnetic field? Pretty unlikely, but that’s all I can think of.

I can sense things at locations bit its extremely minor compared to my wife. t’was just another day. I worked on Saturday then we went to my brothers house for an 80's themed birthday party :]. All calm on Sunday as well. We had a rad breakfast then we just went for groceries. Just a normal weekend at home mostly because there was a ton of storms in the area. I have heard of your situation before happening to other people.

oh dang that’s creepy! One of my Aston tech was telling me about a boy in blue at his house that he, his sister, and a neighbor has seen around the house.

We have a thing of holy water that we sprinkled all over the area and lit an Espiritu Santo candle :]

First thing my dad said but beside not seeing any evidence of rodents at the house ever, the lifting of the handle aspect is very difficult to debunk. I was in the kitchen both times and there is now route for a rodent to escape from that quick in that general area

I’m thinking it was underneath, in the actual stove itself pushing up through the hot plate part.

Despite their typical neophobia (fear of unusual items) some rodents can be curious enough or desperate enough to run into open areas to find food or water. Mice and rats are strong enough to move a pan and can sometimes knock one over if it’s balanced badly.

Of course, the Chihuahuas should have taken care of any rodents anyway. The one pictured looks plenty big enough to take care of any mice. Even so, set some traps - snap or live-catch. Glue traps for mice are just cruel. They chew off their little legs to escape.

Dude, what?!? Maybe a really heavy spider? A mouse who wants to be a chef? Aliens? Swamp gas? I got nothin.’

My father in law swears up and down he’s seen ghosts and paranormal stuff at an old miner’s shack he has in Yosemite Valley, from voices and old-time piano music to stuff moving around. Other people swear to it too, but I’ve never seen anything like that. Intermittent driveability ghosts, however... fuck those guys.

I just think I would of heard something before the bang the second time. And if not me, the dogs for sure since they where not far off. At least some scratching noises or any evidence of rodents in the area (fur, poop, footprints)

I told Steve that the lack of any noise before hand like scratching of scraping is what is throwing me off. We keep the place as clean as possible. No food is ever left out and everything is always scrubbed. Never found any physical evidence like foot print, poop, or fur running on the extra tiny opening where the coils plug in. We are doing complete remodel of the kitchen next month, i’ll keep an eye out for that for sure

lol yup, plenty of those especially back in 07 at Toyota Lexus and their runaway pedals. I have pics in my old laptop of 4 to 5 floor mats stacked.

Main suspect right now is a mouse but highly doubt it

Did you lift the top of the stove and look underneath after it happened? Some kind of critter seems like the only non-supernatural explanation.

Seriously though, my best guess is that either the pan or heating coils distorts badly when heated, then when cooling pops back to original shape violently.
